This past week, all of our snow and ice from the big shut-in melted. Right when we were getting ready for Spring, we got hit by another Winter storm. On Friday afternoon, a storm rolled through and laid down a blanket of ice and snow.Andy and I were wiser and luckier this time around. We salted early, shoveled the front drive after a few inches fell and the icy mix only lasted four or five hours.
We cleared the drive again on Saturday morning and found our preparation really helped. Our drive was much easier to clear than our some of our neighbors.
This picture shows icicles forming on one of our lamps - caused by snow melting from the roof. These icicles are about a foot and a half from the bottom of the lamp to the tip of the icicle.
Although we're getting good with the snow we are ready for Spring!
