Hello Range Rover!

Only moments after Andy parted with the M3, he filled the void in his heart with a Range Rover. As with most purchases in our house, the Range Rover was acquired via eBay. Hence, a major road trip this weekend.

The Range Rover has spent it's days in sunny southern Florida (PA is gonna be a shock!). Friday morning we flew to Ft. Lauderdale and met the car dealer. Just moments later, we were north bound on 95 for two days of interstate driving.

We took a pit stop in Savannah, GA at the Westin resort (beautiful by the way) on Friday night. Aside from fuel stops for us and the car, we pushed straight through, making it home by dinner time on Saturday night. Traveling has made us both exhausted, so we'll be using today to catch up on sleep and to get ready for the week ahead.

Oh, and the Range Rover - it fits in the garage (we had our fingers crossed), and it is super-cool. You name it, the Range Rover has it. We will warn you ahead of time, the seat warmers heat up quick - good thing since it's below freezing here!

Bye-Bye BMW

After two fun filled years with the M3, Andy has parted with his beloved.

The BMW just wasn't quite compatible with the four season weather we have in PA and MD. So, off to eBay Andy went. After two posts, a buyer from NYC made Andy a good offer. This weekend, Andy will be saying farewell to the beamer.

Just two years ago this week we moved into our home in New Freedom. Before our furniture even arrived, we decided to camp out in the house on Christmas Eve. Andy drove us up in the M3, top down for 40 miles, with all the essentials in the back (Christmas gifts, air mattress, blankets, TV) - burrrr.

It was a beautiful car that we both really enjoyed - okay, so maybe Andy liked it a bit more than I did, but I give it to him, the man has taste in cars.

Tinsel and Technology

So, the holidays were good to us this year, and here are two of our techy Christmas gifts. Andy got a PS3 (all the neighborhood kids want to come over and play). The PS3 has a blu-ray player which plays high def DVDs, the game consol is just an added bonus.

For me, Andy picked out a replacement iPod - an iPod Touch. It is incredibly cool - we had it hooked up to our home network in seconds. Syncing the iPod to iTunes is another story, we're still perfecting that...

All in all, some cool goodies to play with on our break from work over the holidays.

Going to Barbados...

Ah...we've just returned from a week in Barbados. We met Billy and Irene in the Caribbean for some rest and relaxation on the beach. Well, maybe we really spent more time shopping, chatting, reading, sleeping, drinking and eating than we did on the beach - but hey, its vacation, who's counting.

It's the end of rainy season in Barbados, so we had lots of little rain storms, but nothing that kept us from having a wonderful time. I got just a touch of sun and Andy didn't get a bit - just how we planned it.
The best part of the trip was getting to spend time with Billy and Irene. We just love our time with them and wish it happened more often.
We're sad to be back in the real world - Barbados was a nice escape and just what we needed. Thank you to Billy and Irene for inviting us and doing all the hard work of picking a place and a date - we owe you!
