We've had an eventful week in New Freedom! Starting on Tuesday, the area was hit by a snow storm which quickly turned into an ice and snow storm. We expected 2 - 4 inches of snow, but ended up with 8 - 10 inches of ice.So for most areas - the storm shut things down for a day and a half. Well, our neighborhood hasn't been final paved, so we aren't on city plowing services yet. Our neighbor Mike hooked us up with an independent plow truck operator - so we were able to escape from the house on Friday.
Here's a picture of me standing on top of the foot of ice on our front walk. The snow is so hard that you don't sink or break the surface. In fact, the truck that plowed our drive drove over the snow on our drive and barely left an indent!
On Friday, we were back in the office - freed from the house!
